Every year we welcome Alta Vista Families to our family dance. This dance is for the whole family to join! We offer complimentary snacks, beverages, and glow sticks. There is also a photobooth so you have a keepsake to remember this amazing event!

Frequently asked questions:

1. Is it free to attend?

There is a small entrance fee for each guest for this event. This is to cover the cost of the DJ and the photobooth. Financial assistance is available upon request. 

 

2. Does everyone need a ticket or just my children?

Yes, everyone over 2 years old will need to purchase a ticket (including adults). Two years and below are free. 

 

3. Do I need to bring my ticket?

No, we will have a list of everyone that purchased a ticket at the door. You will check-in with your name. There is no need to print out your ticket or bring it with you. 

 

4. Can I purchase tickets at the door?

Unfortunately, no. In order to make the check-in line move quickly, all tickets must be purchased prior to the event. Ticket sales will be cut off the day of the event by 2pm. This is to ensure the committee has time to print out the guest list prior to setting up for the event. We will not be accepting ticket purchases at the door!

 

5. Can I send my children to the dance?

Absolutely not! Even if your child is a 5th grader, we do not have staff or volunteers available to monitor unsupervised children. If you are unable to make it, you can purchase a ticket for your child and make arrangements for them to arrive with another adult or family. That adult or family will be in charge of your child and must have eyes on your child at all times. 

6. What type of music is played at the dance?

We hire a professional DJ typically and popular hits are played that are age appropriate.

 

7. What food and beverage options are available?

It depends upon what items are donated, but we typically have the following:

  • Water
  • Soda
  • sparkling water
  • juice boxes/Capri suns
  • cookies
  • brownies
  • granola bars
  • crackers
  • popcorn

 

Starting in 2023, we have a food truck onsite in case you would like a meal option. Items at the food truck are not complimentary and are available for purchase.
